My friends and I have known each other for over a decade and it just wouldn’t be us if we didn’t do something crazy for our summer holiday!

The houseboat was a 5 minutes’ walk from Paddington station.

Our first day in London was for exploring. Firstly, we visited the sky garden at The Walkie Talkie. This was amazing and free. The view was breath-taking and made me excited for the rest of the trip. Afterwards we explored China Town and Borough Market.

We then went to the houseboat to check-in and were blown away by how beautiful it was, and instantly felt at home.

We had sushi at an adorable little restaurant. It was the best sushi I’ve ever had!

The next morning, we woke to the gentle rocking of the Thames and ventured over to the Tate Modern. We arrived with low expectation but were pleasantly surprised!

We got a Pret for lunch and continued to sightsee. Later that evening we watched my new favourite West End musical ‘Hairspray’. This musical makes you want to laugh and cry at the same time.

Day 3 was shopping day! We went to Oxford Street. I may have spent a little bit too much money on clothes, but it was worth it, as it was such a lovely day.

We went to The Ivy City Garden for dinner, and never felt so sophisticated. The food and drinks were divine, and it didn’t break the bank.

Our final day in London was spent at an art exhibition by RYOJI IKEDA at 180 The Strand, which was confusing and fascinating all at the same time.

This holiday was one of the best holidays of my life and it really helped me find my love for travelling.
